Vincent's Views

Street Art
My take on the works that Van Gogh painted and sketched around 1884, when he lived near Helmond.
Vincent was highly interested in laborers and peasants, and their hands who worked the earth. For me this resulted in the peasants and Brabant’s landscapes shown here, in 'Vincent's Views'. Combined with a lot of diagonals, referring to Van Gogh’s brushstrokes (in his turn an interpretation of woodcut carves and lines).

Huge thanks to Gemeente Helmond, Zuidlijn, and Stichting Carat.
S/o to my lovely assistants!
